Open Board Meeting for Parents and Staff on November 21st at 4 pm
Beginning this semester, we will have our first “Open Board Meeting,” where all parents, staff, and board members are invited to attend. This will become an event that occurs each semester. We are hopeful it will become an open environment where staff, parents, and board members can come to openly discuss the mission and vision of Children’s House. Free child care will be provided. The board of Children’s House is composed of volunteers and assembled to provide the skills and experience to support the staff in running, improving, and growing the school. Having a full board is part of giving the school the foundation it needs to continue to serve our community. Children’s House is a not for profit organization, which means we have no shareholders or owners. The board is ultimately responsible for the operation and development of the school, and we view ourselves as the representatives of the children; to us, our children are our owners.
Through the PTO, through volunteering, and through all of your involvement, the parents are the builders of our community. The Montessori curriculum gives us a solid educational foundation as we go forwards. We would like to ask you at the open meeting:
- What would you like your school to look like in five years?
- What is the ideal school where you would like to have your children?
- And, how is CMS doing so far?
